I have designed a new logo and new material for Blue Dog Adoption. They are a non-profit dog rescue center that uses foster care as a way to home the dogs instead of a location. It is all volunteer based and now they have a more noticeable look and materials for the volunteers to use to find forever homes for their furry friends.
I have given People Tree a new logo that now represents their company and values. The two leaves circling each other are to show unity and the organic nature of the company, while also representing their commitment to organic materials. The leaves also look like two women dancing in a circle waving a cloth above their heads to represent their fair trade agreements and the other cultures that help create their cloths. I chose to keep a clean and bold font for their name to represent their bold style and personality.
The Dragon Boat Festival in Sloan Colorado is one of the largest cultural festivals in Colorado. I have designed a poster for their 18th anniversary. I kept the colors and fonts simple and clean to allow for easy readability and to draw subtle attention the the hand drawn dragon in the back. I chose red for the luck it represents since this is still a race. I also wrote the information out in hiragana under the English so get a mix of the different Asian cultures in the festival. I had added a thank you letter to the sponsors done in a red envelop for the Chinese tradition and added a decorated herbal bag to show more of the Chinese culture.
I created a magazine that focuses on classical musicians. I focused on keeping the cover very clean an organized to imitate the feeling of an instrumental piece of music and set the layouts to include larger images of the artist that the reader may not know about.
Lord of The Flies
For this William Golding classic “Lord of the Flies” dust jacket design, I chose to use the conch that plays such a big part in the story and provides great symbolism. The title is handwritten with charcoal to give it a drawn look just as the kids would have written and SOS using what they had on the island. The blood was added to hint at the tragedy and struggle in the book and add a human element to the conch on the cover.
That Taco Stand
That Taco Stand is a family run food truck in Manor Texas. I had created a logo and truck design that looks western to match the family’s heritage and love for Texas. The design also gave them a few characters to play with and rearrange as needed.
Cafe Nena’i is a mom and daughter business. They focus on home cooked South American recipes. I used the image of the little girl the owner drew and added my hand drawn teddy bear to create some characters that could be used throughout the cafe’s products while keeping their vintage look. I also re-organized their menu to create a cohesive look and feel for all their products.
Healthy Me Coach
Healthy Me Coach is an online personal training company that allows their users to have access to their trainers 24/7. They believe in making people self-sufficient when it comes to their health by giving them the tools and knowledge to do it on their own. I wanted to create a clean design for their protein bars to represent clean eating while still making the bars look delicious.
